Our 10th annual Teen Iron Chef commenced last Wednesday, with 8 two-person teams poised to take the 2017 champion title by combining wits, dexterity, and a swift mastery of the secret ingredient!
All the teams overcame time and utensil limitations, but in the end, one duo's savory and sweet concoction persuaded the judging panel to award them the win! The Bellevue Public Library is pleased to announce this year's culinary conquerors as:
Team: The IncrEDIBLES (Lilly and Gabby), featuring a
picante veggie salad, with a chocolate and strawberry creature pudding!

American Red Cross: Babysitting Certification Workshop

Hosted by the: Bellevue Public Library
Course maximum: 20 students, aged 11-18.
Become a safe and reliable sitter! The American Red Cross will provide this certification course to 20 students, aged 11-18. The workshop includes: basic First Aid, basic child care, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism and leadership skills, growing your business, and more!
Red Cross student fee: $76.50
Payment due upon registration. We can accept check or an exact cash amount.

Early Sign-Up Week: May 21-27
Summer Library Program: May 28-July 22
★ Eligible participants: young adults going into the 7th-12th grade and 2017 high school grads.
For more information about the Summer Library Program, please go our Events page.
Drop by the library between May 21-27 to get your activity/reading logs and event spots a WEEK early! But don't worry: you can still sign up any time May 28th through July 22nd!
★ Activity/reading logs begin May 28th and participants MUST be present to first register for these. Some special events require pre-registration and may have limited attendance. All Bellya events are FREE, with exception to the Red Cross Babysitting Certification Workshop.
