But first, a quick interlude!:

You can find these books & DVDs in our catalog, through the BPL main site: http://www.bellevuelibrary.org. See everything that's shiny and new, on a month-to-month basis!

1 Just click the New Titles link within the Library Info panel.

2 Select the Teen category:

3 And, finally, choose from three genres--fiction, nonfiction, & graphic novels (which includes manga/manhwa):

Each genre contains monthly updates. Click on a book record to see a description, reviews, and current availability! If the item is checked out, you may also place a hold at that time.

Now on to the NEW DISPLAYS!:

Much is checked out already, so don't forget to go to the catalog!

Read the latest monthly and bi-monthly YA magazines; they're dead center on the new wall! (New magazines cannot be checked out--but all the back issues can. They're also located along the wall.):

Coming soon: a magazine survey! Tell me what you think about what we're getting now--and what you wish we could get! The survey will be available online (as an embedded widget) and in-library (via the trusty paper slip & box method). Please look for it in the next couple months!

Teen Ink is a nationally distributed magazine with international content--and also a book series and web site! And it is definitely by you and for you--as its foundation says, they "have no staff writers or artists; [they] depend completely on submissions from teenagers nationwide for [their] content."

Teen Ink's been around since 1989! That's 25 years of publishing the awesomeness of 13 to 19-year-olds! It's pretty fabulous to have an outlet of expression all to yourself.

You can submit your poetry, art, fiction and nonfiction and be published online--and possibly in print! Check out the guidelines here >>>.

If you make it to the page, let me (Crystal, your YA Librarian) know! It's exciting! And I love meeting any of our local published authors and artists. (Stop by the library or contact me online--click the round email button in the navigation bar above.)  ヽ( ≧▽≦)ノ

On to a peek inside this month's magazine (the timely "College Issue"):

Interesting editorials!:

A full-color art gallery!:

Wonder how your peers handle the dreaded (and yet, somehow exhilarating) college essay? Read one of several, along with an update of their scholastic status (both of the pictured authors were offered acceptance!):

Takes on the environment!:

Book reviews, naturally!:

 A place for fiction!:

 And poetry!:

Also: music reviews, sports, travel & culture, health, feedback, and much, much more! Grab one at the Front Desk or in the Bellya cafe area!
